How to Claim

Continuing Education (CE) Credits

BLS • ACLS • PALS

Follow the steps below to claim CEU credits for completion of your American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS courses.

Step 1:

Claim your online precoursework CEU certificates.

Step 2:

Claim your classroom portion CE certificates.

Sign in above with the same credentials you used to complete your online precourework lessons.

If you did not complete the online lessons above and/or do not have an AHA account, create an account with the same email that you used when you registered for your course and received your eCards.

Once logged in, go to Dashboard > Select Proof of Completion > View/Access eCard > Access link to Claim CE

After you click the “Claim CE” button, the AHA requires you to fill out your license information to the best of your ability. The exact profession does not matter as the CE certificate will be standard for all students. Any fields that do not apply to your license, still enter your license # so that the certificate can generate.

After you submit the CE form, click the “CAPCE” link as shown below and the certificate PDF will generate, which you can provide to your licensing board. Please note: The AHA CE certificate is a standard CE certificate issued to millions of healthcare providers nationwide. It is not geared towards any particular license (such as RN, MD, EMT, etc.). The certificate should still be provided to your licensing board as proof of successfully completing the course. Your licensing board will determine how many hours to award for this type of program.
